HBC Gentrification
I was told on good authority that this space where the bricks are lighter is where a car drove up and crashed into the wall, resulting in this patching up.
The door was open, so I looked inside. The floor was covered in a shallow layer of water.
These cups and bottles are still there.
Lights are no longer on.
I ventured down the stairs.
It was also flooded down here. I wasn't expecting to see the pool table still there.
The wall appears to show a watermark revealing how much the place flooded.
I was not going to get closer to the bar in my current footwear.
A quick look at the drinks menu.
And the food menu.
I came back with rubber boots, prepared to venture deeper.
I also had a speedlight to do away with that lens hood shadow.
No, I haven't tried calling.
This appears to be a pump to help mitigate the flooding.
Bottles bottles everywhere, but not a drop to drink. Also, the light in that storage area is still on.
There's the stage.
And this stuff on the wall.
The beer taps.
A look behind the bar.
Looking back toward the pool table.
Viewing the bar from the stage.
And that painting.
Three bottles I didn't open.
Many bottles presumed empty.
One of their last active events.
Back up on the ground floor.
A clearer picture of the food menu.
