SQCF
Looks like some work's being done
Here's the CTS event in Seoul Square, that they had to have here instead of SQCF.
The "Awakening." They banned all sorts of disruptive stuff inluding loud noise and hate speech.
This empty underused space is hate speech itself.
And so is the very loud, very hateful Christian rally across the street.
Gays and AIDS don't hide it
...Hey wait, maybe I'm missing the nuance on the term for "preventative education" but if it means teaching safe sex, I'm all for it.
First word is God. Last word is God. I didn't bother translating the rest.
The Israeli flags are especially an interesting touch this time, all things considered.
"History Makers." Guessing this is a reference to how only heterosexuals reproduce, which isn't true: there are many conditions in which queer people reproduce. And also, heterosexual people don't transmit heterosexuality only.
I'm guessing the one on the left is abstinence-only education, and the one on the right I know is comprehensive sex education. I can't tell what the board on the right is about.
There's a K-hakbumonun, but it doesn't meet notability.
Hardcore Christians really know how to party.
That sign seems unrelated, or at least off topic.
If God made everything, who made sexual minorities?
Shouldn't those kids be across the street at the CTS event for children?
These people may not have noticed they were sitting under a far-right banner linking the Gwangju Uprising with North Korea.
It's a little more crowded now.
So the duck is part of it.
The punctuation there sort of changes the meaning unintentionally.
This was the protest nearest the festival, just north of exit 2 of Euljiro Station.
OUT Gays, OUT Gay Marriage.
When they spin around it says "NO!!
She seemed to be their leader.
There didn't seem to be any nonparticipant supporters. They also had a few kids in fatigues, I believe part of the Jesus Army I saw last year.
"Mother and father's love birthed me!"
Fine, though I'm not sure why it would be necessary to come up with rules allowing those same parents to cast out their children who don't fit their sexual standards.
An anti-LGBTQ protester playfully blindfolds a Jesus Army kid in camouflage.
The festival is across the street to the left, basically out of view.
Thsi nutjob was right outside the festival. Not sure if they have a stance on the proceedings around them.
This is the parade route. It's much larger than I was expecting.
I drove by and got a closer look at the drums on the trucks across the street.
Now there are people playing the drums.
These people are part of the same group.
Here are the Jesus Army kids. Are they old enough to know what's going on?
Is this safe?
A smaller stand.
She was speaking through a microphone amplified on their group's big speakers.
Here's another small group over by Myeongdong. The cops kept a close eye on them, but they were not enough to present a real threat.
And they would have had a good view of the parade floats.
I'm curious if the woman in white is with the cops or the Christians.
The thing on the left with grass on it provided me with a platform for taking pictures.
That float remained parked here until much of the parade had passed.
One Christian was running around with a sign.
Just more bullshit about God and telling people to defect to Christianity to escape Hell, all that.
The usual brigade of cops.
Female cops.
The festival people are way over there waiting to get moving.
Here comes another float.
That guy in the grey shirt made a point of taking my picture, which seemed like it might have been threatening. I told him "About time someone appreciated my own float." He then wandered into the road and may have blended in with the parade.
Just realised I can see Flowerbomb.
The cops are moving but the parade isn't.
This is further up the street, at the front of the whole movement.
Near these ones.
I have K-snack, but not with this source.
To go around the parade and the cops, I drove through Myeongdong a couple times.
There's that guy with the sign being moved away by the cops.
These ones could stay.
This guy made a bigger sign so he could fit the full word.
Seoul Drag Parade.
"Joseon Lez."
This was over in front of the post office.
I found some fun signs about Bill Gates, COVID-19, and 5G.
I can't tell if these signs were all anti-capitalism, or accusing Bill Gates of being anti-capitalism.
There's the SQCF biker gang.
Meanwhile the big threatening Christian parade was picking up and moving away.
Here's a better crop reminding me of 2015.
