Open Songhyeon

Who wants to go up the rickety stairs of doom?

I was primarily interested in going up to see what was behind that fence.

A look at these old houses in the back part of the park.

A wider view showing the mountain scenery.

Beomnyun Temple.

You can see people over on the other side of the platform.

The lifeguard.

Another look at Beomnyun Temple and Inwangsan.

Shortly after I took this picture of this foreigner leaning on the railing, the lifeguard shouted at him in English not to do that.

Thinking it can't be that safe if we can't even lean on a railing, I headed down.

More people going up.

Admittedly, I was moving at a pace fast enough to constitute running.

Now let's look at the sign at the bottom.

There was a worker at the bottom counting the number of people entering.

"If you feel that Sky Pavilion is shaking slightly, please do not be alarmed. This is normal and not an indication of a safety hazard."

More people considering entering. I was tempted to tell them not to lean on the railing.
