The Dark Side of Seoul Ghost Walk
Joe stands in front of a gate to a house in Bukchon.
Never been to Kerea before.
Another storytime in front of the Constitutional Court, which used to be a residence.
Joe leads us through an alley filled with love motels.
I decided these pictures probably shouldn't end up in a newspaper article.
Here we are at another storytime at scenic Pimatgol.
We went into the underground arcade, where there was a 10-minute bathroom break. I like the liminal feeling of the area and got Joe to pose, but I don't think the final photos quite capture the eerieness of the setting.
Even if he did his best to sell it.
I got him to pose on the escalator ride on the way up, and I liked the finished product, like a Shakespearean villain.
Standing along Cheonggyecheon with a streetlight coming through the trees, I got the best shots of him. This one had the best illumination and facial expression, although I had to be judicious with the sharpen tool.
Here's an image of Queen Sindeok carved in the stones originally used for her tomb, which were later repurposed for Gwangtong Bridge and placed upside-down as a sign of disrespect.
Joe shows off the tomb carvings.
