Pumpkin Village

I peered over a fence and got this view. There's been a lot of demolition but there are still abandoned buildings standing.

Through this doghole I saw a cat.

The path seemed clear up to the gate of this apartment. I simply kept walking straight.

What interested me in this picture was the single-floor house that collapsed in the center of the photo.

Collapsed stairs. Somewhere to the left, some guy was doing some kind of outdoor work (gardening?). He didn't seem too perturbed or curious about my presence.

I started heading downhill.

This is looking straight downhill. There used to be several paths to follow up and down this slope, and I saw traces of some of them.

But anyway, keep going straight.

I think there must have been stairs here.

A quick look back.

Time to follow these. I thought they might bring me up out of the area.

They did not.

Instead I was in this house.

They hoarded newspapers.

Insoles.

Eggs?

The kitchen.

The bookshelf.

On my way back, I looked in on another house, and i found this CCTV monitor set up.

They call the area "Pumpkin Village" for whatever reason.

Uphill, a crane.

Downhill, more cranes.

Overlooking the entire redevelopment area I visited. First photo was from the bottom right, and the buildings I visited were upper left.

In this surviving alley, I was mildly surprised to see the "I.Seoul.U" slogan still displayed.
