Seoul Drag Parade
The very first picture I took raised an important point -- venues like Rabbithole and The Studio HBC are not exactly wheelchair-accessible. One reason they wanted to do the parade.
A whole bunch of cops.
A drag demon.
And a demon dog.
Before the parade started moving, I could see there were quite a lot of people lined up.
That weird little noise box, I stowed here so I could drive around without it being an issue. I did successfully retrieve it later.
People are walking around unaware of what is about to be unleashed.
Maybe even many of the participants didn't quite fathom it.
Heezy gives some directions.
I sped downhill where I could see both the participants and the cops advancing.
I wasn't the only one recording.
There's Ali and Heezy in front.
With cop reaction.
You can see in this shot that this is a pretty long line.
Someone drives by waving to the paraders.
Next I went up to the Noksapyeong overpass, where I found a group called Sugar Rush, possibly a band, posing for group photos.
You can see them starting to head this way.
This photo reveals the whole group, and actually makes them look kind of small, probably through compression.
I mean when compared to this.
At this point, they start to notice me.
Zooming in.
The cops start to cross through the intersection.
My next stop was the disaster alley.
This cop was also there.
I got this picture showing a blemish that wasn't there later.
Here they come.
They did a big U-turn in the intersection leading to Hooker Hill. Personally I wish they did the big turn in the large intersection in front of the Hamilton Hotel.
Geoffrey Lewis was there.
Part of the U-turn process.
They noticed the drag parade on the other side of the street and started greeting them.
I saw a photo op starting and wanted to get in on this.
Now two drag queens, one normie.
Now the normies outnumber the drag queens.
I got up on top of an electrical installation, and after this got chased down.
Would have liked to see this from a little higher up.
I returned to the Noksapyeong overpass to watch them coming back.
