Driving Around

The giant boot.

Picking someone up.

Not all of Edmonton is flat.

Still waiting.

The old museum.

And Government House.

Nearby was Gangwonjeong, a pavilion built as part of a sister province arrangement.

An attempt to look at the River Valley.

The museum was under heavy lock and key.

But this was interesting to see.

Next stop was the neon sign museum.

Wandering through downtown.

I used to live there.

That person too.

I believe this leads to an experimental site belonging to the biology faculty.

The library was apparently closed.

So was Hub Mall.

This bus goes all the way to my parents' home.

This door was locked.

I tried various other entrances until I found one.

Inside.

The giant wang is still there.

It looked like Jacket Potato Man was closing.

Here's the Hub mural. Funny seeing such old-fashioned money now.

It doesn't quite depict residential schools, but this is how it shows Edmonton's early colonisation.

And it ends with an identifiable city skyline: New York pre-9/11, possibly minutes pre-9/11.

Probably just a dog's tracks.

I stopped at the same bridge where we once threw a TV from.

The Legislature is lit up.

We threw the TV down onto that road.

The old power plant was also lit up.

Chianti's.

I found this mural which I assume depicts Whyte Ave.

Former Rebar.

This time I bought stuff at the Paris Baguette.

The twisted donut was good.

The matcha mochi donut was very difficult to like.

More of those things again, but they're less prominent here than in Korean PBs.

View from outside.

Again without people.

I spotted an AK-747s sticker in the wild.

I stopped by Black Dog and saw a country band called the Goddamsels. Turns out they toured to Korea in 2024 without me knowing.

The old Army & Navy.

Even the crane was lit up with Christmas lights.

Time for Steel Wheels.

I took a lot of photos of the interior.

The bulgogi pizza wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't typical Korean-style pizza. The budae jjigae was pretty spot on.

Mr. Lim, the owner.

I got a little lost after that heading home.
