Drive to Jasper

Scenic smoke.

I think this was on the approach to Hinton.

We went to L&W for lunch.

This was the meat lovers' pizza.

There's the rest of the meat.

I remember this view from last time, in 2017.

Gas was cheapest in Hinton somehow.

The road got a little worse after Hinton, but still not bad.

Clouds were blocking the mountain peaks, which made me want to ask for a partial discount.

Starting to see some fire damage.

In Jasper.

The train station.

The ruins were cordoned off by a blue fence.

Other housing right next door was fine.

Festive danger signs.

The fire was precise like a tornado, destroying buildings here but not there.

A closer look.

Lots of stairs to nowhere.

Other items were also left behind.

There were a few destroyed vehicles.

That boat looked undamaged.

Barbecue.

New housing is going up.

That one house survived while all its neighbours did not.

At least two churches were destroyed.

Some damage.
