Dream Village Garden

I came across this sight along a road.

This was the easiest way in, over that tape and the wheelbarrow.

At the top of the stairs was this barbecue.

One of the houses back here.

A table for workers, one reason I don't think this is part of the nearby Hannam New Town project.

Over there off to the right is the way down to the gate I saw in the first picture.

Just have to cross some debris to get into this house.

I later told coworkers that I was scouting the presidential residence, and sent these pictures.

The stairs went up to that landing, and around the corner all the wood had been removed, leaving a concrete ramp up to the second floor.

I didn't get closer to this house.

They built the construction hoarding atop a spoon.

Next I went to a roof nearby in Hannam New Town.

From there I got a slightly better view of the presidential residence.

And visited a factory.

I found a newspaper office, probably a distribution center.

Then I went to Halal Guys.

Over at the Itaewon site I'd been investigating, they were putting up curtains.

I noted that the door to the left of the garage was open, which meant I could get into what I was sure was the final unexplored space in this vast complex. I was wrong, but it was next.

A developer called SJ.

I went to the 7-Eleven and then started wondering where my keys were. Turns out they were in my gloved hand.

I returned at night and went into the door to the left of the garage. This is what I found.

Good as new.

A light dusting of snow.

On the ground floor, I found some documents about the development plan.

This image showed four buildings I had not yet been inside, the three in the upper left and the one uppermost one (with the brutalist facade I had admired). As of a month later, I have not been into two of them.

Finally, I had a proper flashlight with me.

Here's how they blanketed off this property. That two-storey house has been demolished, but last I checked nothing else had.
