I was driving by and this was laid out for me. It used to have a gate, but I guess tape does the job just as well.

I'm curious about those slots leading to teh basement, especially the one on the right with the slope.

For pouring something down there? Coal? Grain?

Not difficult getting inside.

I just learned these are called jack posts. There's probably another term for the pieces of wood above them.
