Scooter Trip
After our earlier trip to the Chinese market, I decided to test my scooter with a longer drive. Our mission was to find the edge of Seoul and hopefully see some countryside. We made it down to the northern tip of Anyang before doubling back to Seoul. It's possible we'll try to take my scooter all the way back down to Suwon for a look around.

Chinese Market
Jung needed to get some ingredients for a meal she was planning, so she took me to this small Chinese market not far from our apartment. It was pretty interesting.

There's an entry about Korean-Chinese on Wikipedia. It focuses more on the ones who are still in China though. From the sounds of it, they don't get treated so well there. So they move back to Korea and it's not so much better here.

Making Movies
Millie and I needed something to do, so we decided to take some photos. I also made a few videos, but I was wearing shorts and my legs are in too many of them.

Cheonggyechon
On a trip downtown, we had some time to kill while we waited for a restaurant to open at 11. We took a walk along Cheonggyechon, the mayor's dedication to the Jesus vampire or something. It was made at the sacrifice of quite a bit of land downtown, including some parts of Dongdaemoon that have disappeared. I can't wait until that guy retires and goes to take his place at the right hand of God.

Catnip Attack
There are pictures from three different events here. First, one picture taken while doing the dishes. The next is at the subway station. The rest of the pictures are from a catnip orgy.

Boramae Park
We took Smoky out for a ride. The exhaust situation has improved greatly since I gave the bike its new name. Anyway, we saw a few interesting places not too far from our apartment.

Wake-Up Call
Lately Millie has really been acting like a nurse. On Sunday morning when Jung was having nightmares, Millie would come and sit with her until her dreams became happier. It worked, too--soon she was giggling and singing in her sleep.

Smoky
My scooter has gone through a lot, but lately it's needed more repairs than it's worth. Since it stopped working last December or so, I've left it alone, waiting for the weather to improve. Meanwhile it's been sitting outside, neglected, through all forms of bad weather. I went out to scrub it down so we could try to trade it in for a nicer one. We took it to the shop to see how much it was worth, and the dealer unwittingly got it working again. Cheapest repair ever.

Namguro at Night
Last night we went on a late-night walk around 2am. We explored some of the alleys and hidden corners of Namguro. It's a pretty interesting neighbourhood. Even at this time of night there were plenty of drunk Koreans wandering home.

Cat Acrobatics
I haven't been updating this page lately because all the excitement's been on the other one. Millie has been doing stuff in the last three weeks, and I have photographed some of it. Here are some pictures from Saturday.
