Korea 1996

This would appear to be me learning English.

No context.

I believe these were my uncle's bosses.

This is the apartment complex where my uncle lived. He was on the fourth floor of the further building here I think. The building to the left housed a lot of little businesses including a video rental shop.

Here's a view from further back, I guess from a taller building. Looks like he lived in building 103. The lower-right building with the Nonghyup taekwondo dojang and computer hagwon is where he says he worked.

Some context, though I'm surprised he was bold enough to write "Sea of Japan." Looks like it is according to the International Hydrographic Organization, but Korea calls it the South Sea.

Here's a postcard my uncle sent us depicting the K-drama "Icing," about hockey players.

Seems to be Seonamsa in Suncheon.

The National Folk Museum at Gyeongbok Palace in Seoul.

The back sides of those. I vaguely remember we picked up on the cue in Icing that one of the characters had hair that was a little too long, or something.

These dogs were for sale in Busan.

Is that the legendary Mr. Hong? Maybe hard to tell with the hat.

A monkey?

That's my uncle with the dogs Pooh-don and Pooh-mi, and his boss.

A group photo with coworkers.

An outdoor restaurant.

A memorial of an actor who brought Shakespeare to Japan.

Now here are four photos at once.

The backsides.

Some monks.

This looks like Yeocheon.

A turtle stele somewhere.

Here are two pictures of me.

A dog at a convenience store.

Playing around with the school dogs, and sister and cousins.
